About the role;
Reporting to the CIO of a major NFP your primary responsibility will to assist in solving business problems.
Thought Portfolio Management you will be working closely with internal customers by taking them from a business idea to discovery / exploration, try-test-learn iterations, through to funding approval, launch, implementation, go-live & change management.
You will lead a team made up of Agile Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solutions Architects in a formal Agile / Scrum environment. Your team will generally manage up `12 projects at any one time.
This role is very much the gateway between IT and the businesses, and in this role you will be responsible for the managing the engagement of IT with the rest of the business for all new and existing projects. It is therefore expected that you will be highly experienced in a Business and Engagement roles. Owning the operational relationship, you will be responsible for brokering internal SLA’s, monitoring SLA performance and ensuring SLA’s are met, measured and managed.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Agile projects following Agile project & portfolio management frameworks (SaFe, LEES etc.)
You will assist in solving business problems by leading internal customers
Manage strategic & financial impacts and the risk profile of the projects
Ensure that Security & Architecture is maintained by solutions proposed & implemented
Proactively identify problems, priorities and continuous improvements
Essential Selection Criteria;
- Excellent stakeholder and interpersonal skills including a customer-oriented approach
- Strong experience with Design Thinking / Service Design
- Experience working in a Technology relationship managment role
- Experience in facilitating groups towards shared goals and priorities
- Experience as an Agile Project Manager with a good understanding of the relevant Agile & portfolio frameworks including experience implementing and operating agile frameworks
- Certified Scrum Master
- Team Management experience with the ability to lead and coach staff toward thought leadership and project excellence
- Experience working on projects with Digital, Mobile & CRM platforms
- IT Degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
