We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager, RF Systems, this role can be either Sydney or Melbourne based.  Key aspects of this role are the management of the product roadmap and direction, product development and sourcing, product and component supply chains, inventory and product life cycles.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Work with the team to develop an overall product strategy including implementing the R&D requirements and recommend pricing for new and emerging products.
  • Support the sales team by providing technical expertise, market and pricing information and training.
  • Contribute to market research and analysis of market trends to develop product roadmaps and definitions.
  • Collaborate with interstate / international sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product services responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain prioritised list of customer and market requirements for products.
  • Responsible for product development and introduction to market by: identifying product line gaps and weaknesses; preparing business cases to determine viability; source new product/product lines; negotiate with suppliers.
  • Manage day to day progress of existing product lines, forecast and maintain stock; Identify declining / growth / obsolete or discontinued products; maintain supplier relationships and negotiate pricing / discounts levels;
  • Work closely with marketing on marketing materials. Attend relevant trade shows.
  • Maintain a face to face relationship with all key customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

  • Product Roadmap – effective management and achievement of goals
  • Internal and Customer Feedback
  • New Product introductions – effective launch

Key Challenges for the role: 

  • Identifying gaps in the market and developing/sourcing new products to achieve growth
  • Developing and managing Product Road maps to release new products on schedule
  • Providing effective support to sales team to achieve sales targets

Qualifications and experience:

  • Preferred five years' experience in a technical product management or marketing role.
  • Experience in Product management or marketing in RF / Telco industries 
  • Tertiary qualifications in related industry
