Position Title: IT Technical Support Officer

Employment Type: Max Term Contract Until 30/06/2019

Hours per week: 38 hrs per week

Salary: $56,319.95 per annum

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated IT Technical Support Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to provide day to day desktop and application(s) support of mission critical Pathology Laboratory Information Systems



The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Have a degree in IT related field and experience in IT support role
  • Experience with Windows Servers, Terminal Servers, networking, Desktop Operating Systems & standard desktop software support.
  • Working knowledge of systems interfacing such as HL7 messaging. Well developed written & verbal communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently but within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with all professionals and consumers in the service, within the hospital, and within the community
