Solution Architect | 6 Month Contract

About the role:

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our team based at our head office in Bella Vista with possible work options out of our other offices (including Surry Hills and Yennora).

You will be joining a talented Domain architecture team focused on the transformation of our Product and Value Chain domain - a vital part of our business that is already amongst the most advanced in the world.

You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and have your architectural expertise and business acumen genuinely valued and utilised!

Your key focus will be working on unique, large and complex projects in Forecasting and Replenishment space with budgets and scope in excess of $10mil.

What You’ll Do: ​

• Engage and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the business to understand their main goals and present possible options in order to help refine the scope and boundaries of the initiatives they wish to progress
• Define the solution architecture for projects that deliver these initiatives. You will further define how the various existing applications will be modified, what new applications will be deployed and how they will integrate together in order to deliver the desired business outcome
• Develop solutions that are aligned to the Woolworths Enterprise Architecture Framework
• Demonstrate experience and expertise in supply chain to mentor and review the development of detailed designs solutions by design teams
• Provide solution architecture consultancy support to key stakeholders within the business
• Participate in the development and ongoing operation of the Woolworths Solution Architecture capability, such as technical and design standards, processes and governance
• Work with Project Managers to understand schedule risks and impacts and provide mitigation possibilities
• Where necessary assist in product evaluation and selection

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• You will be able to demonstrate a significant career in Architecture related roles over the last 10 years. The last five years will have seen you move into Solution Architecture roles for large and complex solutions involving multiple applications
• You will need solid experience in a large corporate environment
• You will be a passionate, driven architecture professional, who understands that your primary goal is to produce value and deliver great results for the business
• You will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to interact collaboratively and negotiate positive outcomes with diverse stakeholder groups
• You will need knowledge and application of architecture frameworks and approaches
• Your business acumen and commerciality will be what really sets you apart from your peers
• You will possess a track record of successful delivery of application focused solution architecture with strong experience in forecasting / replenishment 
• Retail planning or Supply Chain experience will be highly regarded
• Experience with a consultancy or professional services organisation will be highly regarded as will experience in a Business Solutions Architect type role within a large organisation
• You will need the ability to select the best solution option balancing business drivers, strategic fit, time and cost.
