Business Analyst – Software Development         

Our client is on the lookout for a talented Technical Business Analyst for a software development and applications project (Research Project) – The initial contract will run for 5/6 months with the potential to move too one of their other projects after this project is complete.

• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle
• Min 5 years’ Business Analyst Experience - Min 3 years exp with software development
• Understanding of Back-end technologies
• Ability to work within an agile environment
• Understanding of web application and mobile application development

•  Assist team members and business stakeholders to articulate their proposed ideas/changes/initiatives by analyzing the current state, eliciting requirements, analyzing requirements using appropriate techniques, verifying & validating requirements, and building accurate specifications.
• Highly developed ability and experience in process modelling, data modelling and system design combined with an outstanding ability to apply theoretical technical knowledge to business requirements.
• Proven skills in clear documentation of complex business requirements, system designs, testing and training.
• Outstanding written/oral communication skills, together with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical information to meet the needs of the relevant audience.

• Analyse user requirements with respect to technology capabilities, existing systems and integration methods to develop functional designs, data schemas and data flows for whole system solutions corresponding with business requirements and processes.
• In complex integrated systems, develop comprehensive test strategies and plans along with related documentation; participate in system testing and co-ordinate UAT efforts for assigned project and support work.
• Develop and deliver appropriate training programmes for assigned projects and as otherwise assigned.
• Apply internal standards to all analysis, designs and documentation.
• Provide support for new and existing systems including defining support structures within and across divisions and sections, documentation and problem analysis in accordance with application development standards.
