The Regional Innovation Data Lab (RIDL) is a Griffith University initiative, which builds on existing national research and government initiatives to create a place-based Lab. The Lab will develop and provide the necessary policies, frameworks, standards and tools to link research and government data, industry and the broader community data, and form a nationally relevant information ecosystem.

The opportunity

RIDL has created a holistic place based data set to provide data analytics services to NGO's, policy makers, Griffith researchers and entrepreneurs. We deliver state of the art, easy to use data analytics dashboards and access to data science portals. The web developer will report to the program director of the lab and will be involved in end-to-end development and delivery of data analytics applications like web and mobile dashboards. RIDL works together with internal and external partners across Australia to create a better future based on data derived insights.

This is a fixed term (3 years) position based at the Logan campus.

About you

This position is located in the Regional Innovation Data Lab team at Griffith University, Logan campus. Within this position you will play a key role in project delivery in a matrixed team environment with statisticians, data scientists, data librarians and active researchers. You will be working on exciting innovative projects leading the way to use data to inform evidence-based policy, help NGO's maximise their value potential and provide researchers with the tools to create scientific insight.

Salary range

HEW Level 7: $82,577 - $89,464 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution $96,616 - $104,673 per annum.
