Join a diverse and innovative team to enhance and maintain our microservices API platform.
As a full-stack developer, with a bias towards backend services deployment, you’ll work on a platform that is a central hub of all our business applications, supporting a broad range of end-users both internally and externally. In this stimulating role, you will be working on several initiatives and various technologies, as well as gain exposure to strategic initiatives including Cloud migration and DevOps transition.
As a developer in our team you can expect variety, and to:
- build and maintain microservices using industry best practices
- solve interesting and challenging problems through programming
- participate in various technical discussions and help drive innovation within the business
- help the team plan, design and shape responsive web solutions in a DevOps manner
- work with our awesome and geographically-dispersed team.
We believe for you to be successful in this role that you will firstly have a deep understanding of Core and Enterprise Java and have commercial experience in using Java 8 and its relevant features.
You will also have hands on experience of developing RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, JSON and an understanding of on-trend microservices architectures. Our systems are complex, so experience with event-based and message-driven distributed system and a firm understanding of HTTP protocol, WebSocket, SSE, and other web technologies will ensure your success here with us. Whilst not mandatory, any experience in using JavaScript UI Frameworks such as Angular (4+) or React /Redux is highly desirable however, if you don’t this could be the perfect role to further develop your skill set and own your career.
