The Role
Finite are currently seeking Front End Developer for a long-term opportunity with a large Federal Government department in Canberra. This opportunity is only open to Australian Citizens with a current government security clearance, or the ability to obtain one (Baseline minimum).
Essential Skills and Experience
- JavaScript (including third-party frameworks e.g. jQuery) development skills and a focus on front end performance
- Rapid prototyping experience using CSS (including CSS3 - particularly media queries) and HTML (including HTML5)
- Experience designing for multiple browsers and devices, and meeting accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0 AA
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience working with frameworks/libraries such as React.JS, SASS, LESS, Grunt, Node.JS etc
- Motion / animation experience with the ability to construct seamless interactions through functional modern effects, transitions and animations that add to the brand personality
- Experience working with third party content management systems
- Knowledge of analytics and SEO
- Experience working within Agile and Lean development methodologies
- Experience working on the digital transformation agenda within government
- Skills in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Sketch
- An understanding of UI workflow tools and frameworks
