The Opportunity

The Senior BI Developer is a critical role in the BI team as it is responsible for delivering end-to-end BI solutions data analysis and insights to financial, commercial and operational areas of the business. This is a highly visible role that interacts with both HQ and regional-based finance, business development, operational and clinical teams and with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  
As the Senior BI Developer reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and Business Intelligence (Pathology), you will:

• Requirement analysis and stakeholder engagement
• Delivering end-to-end BI solution using Microsoft BI stack
• Maintenance and support of TM1 cubes
• Delivery of high quality analysis and insights from data to financial and commercial stakeholders
• Statistical and predictive data modelling to support the business
• Assist users in understanding various components of the BI systems during data reconciliation and delivery of self-serve solutions
• Stakeholder and customer management across the BI, IT, Finance and Commercial areas of the Pathology business and the Primary Group of companies
• Deliver 1st tier documentation of all technical work to ensure service continuity

About you
  
You will be able to demonstrate:

• Degree qualified in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related disciplines
• 5+ years experience in providing advanced data analysis in a commercial environment – working with large data sets and providing 1st level analysis and insights to commercial / financial stakeholders
• Extensive experience working on the MSBI Stack and add-ons (particularly T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS Tabular, PowerApps, R/Python, DAX, Power BI and Tableau)
• Intermediate knowledge of TM1 is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of financial statements and analysis
• Proven experience in partnering directly with financial and commercial stakeholders in delivering BI solutions and data analysis
• Good knowledge and experience in predictive analytics is essential
• Team player with good relationship building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
