Client
I am currently working with a prestigious niche consulting firm, an organisation with a strong footprint globally within the Data and Analytics market. They have seen huge growth across APAC in the last 18 months with Australia being a regional hub, their centre of excellence for Data consulting.
Opportunity
On the back of recent success, they are continuing to expand their client footprint and are looking to grow their Big data capability within Melbourne. A hands on senior architect is required to take a leading role within this specialism, across client delivery and the growth of their wider consulting practice and services.
You will work across tier one, ASX20, organisations delivering true Business Transformation Solutions through the delivery of enterprise level Big Data Consulting.
Experience:
- Ten plus years’ technical expertise within the data domain, DW/BI;
- 12 months’ minimum big data experience across any enterprise level platform;
- Passion for open source technologies, specifically Hadoop;
- Expert in streaming and integration using Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Flink and Sqoop;
- Exceptional Java skills, ideally you will have started your career as a software engineer;
- Proven experience architecting big data platforms working end to end across the entire project lifecycle from requirement gathering, implementation and delivery;
- Proven hands on solution design skills;
- Strong experience working with cloud technologies, AWS, Azure or GCP;
- A background in data engineering strong ETL, modelling and SQL skills. Exposure across traditional data technologies, Teradata experience is highly desirable;
- Strong consulting skills with proven senior stakeholder management expertise working in complex environments;
- Experience working in Agile environments, managing teams and delivery of project governance.
