A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team on an initial 12 month engagement (with a view to extend further).
Joining a large, established and supportive team, the successful candidate will be responsible for using their strong knowledge and experience with Cisco routers and switches, Juniper / Checkpoint firewalls and F5 Load Balancer to contribute to the ongoing operational support and provisioning of the organisation's network security services.
Please note, this is a BAU / Operational role and successful candidates must be prepared to work on an on-call roster.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
- Demonstrated Network Security Engineering experience gained within large, complex environments
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the support and provisioning of Juniper (Netscreen / SRX) and Checkpoint firewalls (implementing firewall rules), Cisco routers and switches and F5 Load Balancer (GTM and LTM)
- Experience managing network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting and continuous improvement so as to optimise performance
- Any experience using / supporting Netscaler Load Balance, IPS Tippingpoint, DNS or Gigamon/Riverbed highly regarded
- Strong team work skills with the ability to work independently and proactively as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior documentation skills
