Team
The Networking team is currently 4 people strong and provide a mixture of Aus and APAC WAN solutions to enable trading. This has seen them evolve their systems in embrace automation and create agile, scalable systems. The team provides the backbone infrastructure that connects to every trading exchange in APAC. This is a highly complex, always changing environment that requires innovative solutions on a daily bases.
Role
The positions is looking for a passionate networking geek that loves to make things go faster and naturally automates with bespoke python solutions. The team already has a good development capability so you can rely on supportive, technically astute colleagues to help troubleshoot issue and drive innovation. The role will give you a lot of autonomy and a wide scope to improve the technology stack at every turn. You will not find a more competent team of engineers to work with in Australia or a better renumerated engineering role.
Requirements
- 5 years + Technical Domain Area Experience in Networking
- Hands on Development Experience in Python
- Intimate knowledge of switching and routing
- Deep knowledge of Unicast and Multicast (OSPF, BGP, PIM)
- Experience working in UNIX / Linux environment
- Experience working on low latency / high throughput networks
- Can do / always looking for improvements attitude.
This role would be suited for people coming from a Network Engineer, Network Architect, DevOps, Python Developer or Site reliability engineer background.
