About the role

We are looking for a Specialist, Cyber Security Awareness & Communications to protect Rio Tinto's digital assets and industrial control systems through the coordination and delivery of security improvement programmes designed to securely enable the business or enhance security capabilities and controls.

The role is a great opportunity for a gifted communicator to join a dynamic team and make a real difference to our security posture through improving people's understanding of Cyber Security. Reporting to the General Manager of Cyber Security Operations & Deputy CISO, you will:

• Create and improve Cyber Security’s internal brand, and drive employee awareness throughout the organisation.
• Develop and deliver creative and imaginative cyber security awareness programmes that encourage employees to move beyond compliance with policies and develop a security mindset
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of cyber security awareness programmes
• Review and improve the security awareness and communications strategy to meet the changing needs of the organisation
• Maintain strong working relationships with individuals and groups involved in managing cyber security across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the Group.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience running awareness campaigns and coordinating adult education
• Strong initiative and creative flair to create new and interesting approaches to engage people about Cyber Security
• Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating security events focused on awareness and education
• Proven ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily-understood and actionable manner
• Excellent prioritisation capabilities, with an aptitude for breaking down work into manageable parts, effectively assessing the priority and time required to complete each part

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Strong knowledge of/or business experience in other business units or functional areas outside security.
