OUR COMPANY:

CommSite Integrated Communications Pty Ltd operate from multiple office locations across Victoria.

This position is advertised from our Hallam Office however the position will involve work at locations all across Melbourne and Victoria.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an active member of the field operations team, you will share the responsibility for our well-regarded delivery of quality installation services. We work in a sometimes unpredictable service environment, requiring our crews to have a high level of versatility, adaptability and technical capability. It can be challenging but it is very rewarding. A sample of the work scope is as follows:

• Fibre splicing, testing and commission of new networks. Exchange cabling and patching.
• Delivery of both Telco and Commerical customer fibre projects
• Consulting and working with other technical and civils work groups to deliver complete projects
• Troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Direct customer liaison – responsibility for client contacts allocated
• Responsibility for job budgets and operational deadlines
• Meeting both company and client OHS and site operational specifications
• Occasional travel to remote customer sites across Victoria and interstate (task dependent)

Our field teams can work in a wide variety of industrial and commercial environments, allowing them to gain a wide breadth of experience on different types of communications technology. They are supported by supplier and in-house training where required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

To be considered for the role, applicants would need to demonstrate the following:

• Current Cabler Registration with ACMA including endorsements
• 2 years minimum experience installing,splicing and testing loose tube fibre within live networks
• Demonstrated experience with OTDR Insertion Loss testing, Live fibre Traffic Identification and Workbook completion
• Current drivers' licence
• White card construction induction
• Strong understanding of network quality standards
• Commitment to further professional technological skill development
• Commitment to our strong company growth ethics and future goals
• Excellent communication skills (English language)
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Traffic Management
• Asbestos Awareness
• Current First Aid with CPR certificate
• Some pit & pipe project experience
• Confined Space qualification
• Radio Base Station experience – installation and commissioning
• Industry experience with microwave radio relay/transmission
