About Us

Mission Australia is a Christian community service organisation with a nationwide team of over 2,900 that helps people to regain their independence.

We reduce homelessness and strengthen communities through homelessness initiatives and affordable housing, early learning and youth services, family support, and employment and skills development.

Together, we stand with Australians in need until they can stand for themselves.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a driven Project Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed-term contract to manage all phases of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system implementation and consolidate various legacy systems and improve usability and reporting across the organisation.

The overarching focus of this end-to-end, hands on project management position, is to deliver the required results within the agreed timeframes, scope and budget whilst driving compliance and consistency. You will also need to make sure that all stakeholders are represented and considered when completing project activities and they are kept advised of change impacts as appropriate.

As you will be managing a geographically dispersed rollout (involving multiple source systems and crossing hundreds of Mission Australia programs), you will need to ensure commercial and business impacts are understood and managed effectively and that the initial phase solution is scalable to other Mission Australia program requirements.

Requirements for Success

  • Extensive project management experience across technology implementation projects
  • Knowledge and experience working with Waterfall and Agile/Iterative type methodologies
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder service delivery environments and broad understanding of information systems such as CRM and ERP
  • Results orientation with ability to deliver results in a controlled and effective manner
  • Effective written and verbal communication and active listening skills, demonstrating the ability to present information, decisions and reasons confidently, clearly and concisely
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build sustainable genuine stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent business acumen and service orientation with the ability to think strategically and commercially

At Mission Australia, you will also need to be customer-centric in your approach, self-motivated, flexible and extremely organised. Mission Australia is a complex matrixed organisation, therefore your ability to drive outcomes and demonstrate strong project management skills will be key to your success.

Culture & Benefits

A career with Mission Australia will offer you rewarding experiences to make a difference to the lives of Australians in need. We have an innovative and supportive culture guided by our values of compassion, integrity, respect, perseverance and celebration.

To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered and celebrated we provide a range of employee benefits including:
