The Role

Reporting to Platform Services Head of Development Manager, this role is responsible for providing support for existing software systems, and the development of new systems and services within the Platform Services team.
  
Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Quality of releases and releases notes
• Maintaining quality development and testing standards
• Ensure code performance and scalability
• Peer review of team member development and releases for accuracy and quality
• Gather User input and facts and analyse collected materials
• Propose solutions based on analysis
• Review and implement proposed code, database or systems fix
• Implement measures to prevent future issues

  
What we're looking for

Apart from the usual well-developed verbal and written communication skills, high accuracy and attention to detail, strong organisational skills, ability to build relationships and work as part of a wider team, commitment, tenacity, resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure, you'll also need to demonstrate:

• Up to 3 years development experience or a recent graduate with good university results
• Experience with Java
• Experience with SQL with a preference for Microsoft SQL Server
• Web development experience will be a plus
