We require an experienced and motivated person to join our company as Technical Operations Manager.  The main purpose of the role is to lead your technical team to deliver projects accurately and on-time for satisfied customers. You will also have the technical knowledge to direct your technical team to resolve problems when they arise. 

We are also seeking a person with a strong understanding of relational databases, familiar with end to end system design, and can perform Root Cause Analysis on database / application problems. 

To succeed in this challenging and exciting position, you will also possess experience working for a technology or services company proficient in CRM or Digital systems and be prepared to have a 'hands on' and 'roll your sleeves up' attitude.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

Project Management skills:

  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and assist Team Leader – Digital services to deliver projects accurately and on-time.
  • Together with our digital services team, assist to develop designs and solutions which meet business requirements.
  • Take ownership for jobs from project delivery, development, support and production.
  • Scheduling and allocating jobs to Technical service team.
  • Assist in providing timings for project costings.

Technical services skills:

  • Sound knowledge of the following: SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, Microsoft SQL Server tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and VBA and VB Programming.
  • Establish technology standards and guidelines for upcoming software projects.
  • Provide technical guidance, oversight and leadership to software developers on per-project basis.
  • Review code and assist in implementation and hands-on development.
  • Remain on the forefront of advances in technologies and look out for opportunities.
  • Whenever appropriate, play an active part in writing software as part of the team.

Management Skills:

  • To lead, motivate, coach and support our Technical Services team members to ensure our clients' expectations are met.
  • Report to and work closely with management, including the Managing Director.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey reporting requirements and deliverables to management, staff, vendors and clients.
  • Manage client relationships with our Team Leader (Digital Services).
  • Maintain Work In Progress list of activities for your team.
  • Circulate meeting notes.

To perform your duties, you'll need:

  • A Tertiary Qualification or comparable experience in the IT field.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills both within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, design and problem-solving skills within a complex IT environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • A focus on delivering outcomes and efficiencies through the implementation of software that benefits the end users and the organisation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence.
  • Proven ability providing support and advice to other members of the team and stakeholders.
