The company
Our client is a long established and highly respected not-for-profit organisation that is renowned for providing a range of quality services to their national member network. Due to some recent internal changes within the business, they hiring a PHP Developer to join their small but collaborative technology team.
What you'll do
As a PHP Developer, you will:
- Work with product owners and business stakeholders in sprint planning and review sessions
- Be hands-on in full-stack coding with PHP (LAMP stack) together JavaScript, HTML, CSS & SQL ensuring it meets all design, quality and security standards
- Extensively test then manage the code through to deployment
- Adopt a DevOps culture to manage the dev pipeline and deployments
- Ensure production deployments are well executed and automated with suitable roll-back strategies covering applications and infrastructure
- Assist in modification of Magento, GNU and Perl scripting
About you
To be successful in this environment, it is essential that you have significant full stack development experience and can demonstrate proficiency in:
- Development of complex PHP/LAMP applications in an Agile environment
- JavaScript including JQuery, Angular or React
- SQL and stored Procedures
- Unit & manual (functional & non functional) testing experience
- Developing Rest API's
- End to End management of code from development through to production deployment
- AWS and CI pipelines, GIT and JIRA
Most importantly you will be highly professional with strong communication skills. As an advocate for collaboration - you must demonstrate being a team player who values sharing your knowledge.
