My Client is a multi-national icon with deep origins and roots in the Australian consciousness. They have built a solid reputation on the cornerstone of professional service, flexible and variable service offerings, and professional delivery. With a significant presence throughout the local and international markets they have established themselves as the definitive leader within their field of expertise.

They are currently looking to hire an accomplished Systems Engineering Manager to join their team to drive innovation and change; instigate and play a key role in knowledge sharing; providing the systems analysis function to key business units across multiple projects; work closely with key stake holders and personnel, 3rd party software providers, as well as internal development and support teams.

Major Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to define, execute the engineering lifecycle to develop, test, and release improvements as well as new product iterations.
• A strong understanding of software engineering 
• Interface with internal customers, including Engineers and Scientists, at all stages of the development lifecycle to, for example, develop requirements, design solutions, track engineering progress, and achieve successful integration and verification/validation
• Diagnose complex subsystem problems across algorithms, software, electronics, mechanics, 
• Working within the engineering team to support production and manufacturing as well as field service of a fleet of over 1400 instruments
• Communicate effectively with diverse set of peers, customers, and vendors

To be considered for this role you will need to have a strong foundation in system analysis as well as the following: 

Essential:

• Minimum 8 years' systems engineering experience throughout the systems engineering lifec ycle (with previous experience grounded in medical, aerospace, or defence)
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrable experience throughout the full engineering lifecycle
• Expertise in electronic and software systems development and interfacing
• C# 
• A thorough understanding of development methodologies and practices in Software and Hardware engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to drive outcomes while maintaining engagement and where possible. 
• Ability to motivate and inspire associates to meet their potential.
• Strong knowledge in SQL 
• Expertise in systems and software integration (supporting test campaigns)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
