The Network Engineer is responsible for completing tasks associated with the technical delivery of solutions focused around specific products, technologies and solution sets. The work will be a mixture of BAU and project work.

Individual Accountabilities

  • Network Infrastructure Management - Manage availability, performance and stability of Ingham’s Network
  • Platform Ownership - Ensure the ongoing effective business use of the nominated technologies under your responsibility. Leverage vendor and other external resources to extend the delivery capabilities of your platform.
  • Operational Efficiency - ensure that the Ingham's Network is maintained at optimal operational efficiency and stability at all times. You will be expected to continually seek and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Project Delivery - Work as part of the IT team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and meet expectations.
  • Vendor Engagement - maintain a detailed knowledge of the scope, performance targets and standards by which Ingham's Network vendors are contracted. Ensure Ingham's derives value from all Network vendor engagements
  • Customer Service - proactively and reactively engage with the Internal Ingham's staff, the IT ServiceDesk and identify solutions that enhance the performance, security and functionality of the Ingham’s Network.
  • Common Process Model Development - manage your activities in-accordance with the ITIL based policies, procedures and practices of the Ingham’s IT team.

Experience Required for the role

  • Network advanced technical experience within a corporate IT support environment is essential.
  • Cisco certification essential
  • Palo Alto Firewall and/or Aruba Clearpass certification highly desirable
  • Experience in managing distributed teams and support IT users in a dynamic, operational environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow software is desirable.
  • Recognised tertiary or graduate qualification in Computer Science or related area.
  • ITIL V3 certification essential.
