• Are you up to mentoring existing team members in best practice software design principal and sharing your expertise and ideas? The role functions as a Full Stack Developer. This role works closely with stakeholders, such as; Development Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance team to help deliver high quality cutting edge technical solutions. More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

Development

• The role will focus on development in high value areas of the business including the web, integration, customer relationship management and technical development. The successful candidate will be responsible for software analysis, design, development, documentation, defect resolution, and implementation of the components for the associated software applications, adhering to development standards and best practices in an agile world.
• Working with subject matter experts in the development team to build and refine components in our solution.
• Creating robust and flexible software solutions across the solution from front end, middleware / ESB and backend services with the development team.
• Deploying the solution to quality assurance environments and resolving defects discovered during testing.
• Creating and maintain supporting documentation. Other software development responsibilities as required.

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identifying opportunities for generating workplace innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assist the team to build out Software Development Lifecycle processes to help the team continually improve.
• Provide mentorship to junior members of the team. Above all else - enjoys a challenge and understand that in a business, the key to successes is being self-motivated, collaborative and jumping at the chance to pitch in to get the job done.

the person

• Demonstrated experience working in software development, with a focus on solution design and frameworks.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science or IT related field.
• The candidate should have good skills in the software development lifecycle, messaging patterns, endpoint security, interfaces with internal and external applications, and database knowledge.
• Strong understanding of SOA with knowledge of integration technologies like XML, SOAP, XSLT, JSON, RESTful web-services.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus tools like MuleSoft, TIBCO, WSO2, JBOS.
• Strong experience in .NET, C#, MVC 5, .NET Core, ASP.Net Azure, Java, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, Unit Testing, Messaging
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Effective at user story writing and converting business requirements into technical detail.
• Experience using Agile development tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Knowledge of automation test execution tools like Selenium.
• Practical knowledge of CRM tools
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and working through ambiguity.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal interpersonal communication skills, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
• Application landscapes are broad, including the below key technologies:
• Windows Server and Linux environments
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016 and / or other SQL frameworks
• JAVA and .NET Core Frameworks
• Mono and Micro API services delivered via an enterprise service bus
• Many data Augmentation services delivered via SaaS (API’s)
• Agile environments particularly Atlassian’s suite of applications
