This is an exciting opportunity to join Aristocrat, working for HRG studios in Brookvale. HRG are responsible for some of the most globally successful products in the industry. HRG have a wealth of experience in gaming, we are highly passionate about what we do and are looking for enthusiastic Software Engineer to join the team.

What you'll do

• As a senior software engineer this role is aimed to support test component of games development for a in-house code-base that supports many game releases.
• You are expected to provide support for a variety of in-studio game development automation needs for any process optimization.
• Perform requirements capture, engage stakeholders & facilitate agreement;
• Manage stakeholder expectations;
• Estimate effort in relation to agreed automation deliverable;
• Provide visibility of risks & dependencies to key project stakeholders;
• Produce delivery schedules for software automation components;
• Deliver quality software solutions using best practices & appropriate methodologies in accordance with agreed production schedules & quality targets.
• Develop (proactively) process automation of new and/or desired functionality for evaluation;
• Build reusable software frameworks and solutions;
• Adopt new internal software frameworks, processes and technology;
• Assist with the maintenance of existing code-bases;
• Document & support knowledge capture around tools & processes;
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Liaise with Program Management to provide status, estimates etc.

What we're looking for

• A candidate who demonstrates knowledge and application of software engineering best practices that will be used to support the studios production and prototyping deliverable;
• A candidate with strong software development skills in Linux environment;
• A self-driven proactive automation engineer that continuously explores in-studio development processes for its potential future optimization;
• Strong C/C++ knowledge
• Strong Test knowledge
• Ability to communicate with development team
• Development of Test procedures/process
• Ability to identify process improvements and optimizations
• Work with manual process with the focus to automate where possible
• Focus to lead Automation opportunities
• Leadership properties and ability to work effectively with remote teams
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of Linux environments
