Opportunity to join this leading Melbourne institution as a Senior Infrastructure Architect for their large data centre transition Program. The organisation is looking to reimagine the enterprise data centre aligning to ICT Cloud First Strategy.

Key accountabilities:

• Develop and own the data centre migration strategy and target state architecture
• Ensure application consolidation, migration, realignment and/or closure plans are in aligned with Data Centre Modernisation Program
• Development of data centre specific blueprints and showcases
• Identify and evaluate options then prepare and present solution recommendations that align with the ICT strategy.
• Produce conceptual solutions that fully address stakeholder's needs, providing clear enhancements to capabilities.

Skills and experience 

• Previous experience working as a Lead Architect in Data Centre migrations, technology re-platforming and technology upgrade projects 
• Deep understanding of Data Centre technologies, business drivers, and emerging data centres such as SDN, SD-Datacentre, Multi-cloud architecture
• Demonstrated ability to put together migration and integration strategies
• Exposure to data centre enterprise infrastructure technologies, including Unix/Linux, Converged/HyperConverged Systems, VMware Virtualisation, HP/NetApp storage, CommVault Backup, Storage virtualisation and replication, and LAN/WAN technologies
