We have an 12 month opportunity for a high performing leader to join our ICT Operations business supporting the Senior Manager ICT Operations in ensuring that Queensland Rail is realizing the expected value from our vendor partnerships by overseeing their performance and managing the contract life-cycle.

We are looking for an individual who has extensive experience in service performance management and service integration across multiple internal and external service providers. A thorough understanding of ICT Operations in a large and complex organisation along with demonstrated experience in successful service management in varied, hybrid and emerging technology environments will be essential in this position. 

This role requires the ability to build and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide leadership and direction. Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring diverse teams along with your ability to implement best practice and enhanced performance whilst driving cultural change will be the key to your success in this role. 

To be considered for this opportunity you should have:

  • High level of skill in the delivery of IT services in a multi-sourced or out-sourced IT environment with particular focus on driving performance through the application of contractual SLA.
  • High level of skill in commercial negotiations including pricing structures and SLA definition
  • High level of experience and knowledge of contract management, and vendor management practices as they relate to an ICT environment.

To be successful in your application you will need strong interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships. 

Previous experience leading service management disciplines and implementing performance management frameworks through large ICT managed services procurements with successful transitioning will be highly regarded. Additionally, as will experience with service and integration management across cloud and automation management platforms.

This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months with the potential to become a permanent position offering a salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 plus superannuation. Queensland Rail also offers free train travel to and from work on duty days and a healthy work / life balance.
