We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who has previously worked with Data Centers in large-scale migration projects. The purpose of this role is to design solutions for the leftover data after the migration.

Core Responsibilities:

• Designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
• Solutioning and re-platforming of existing on-premises applications and infrastructure into AWS
• Solution from hardware infrastructure to virtualized infrastructure 
• Selecting the appropriate AWS service based on data, compute, database, security or networking requirements.
• Estimating AWS costs and implementing cost control mechanisms
• Align system designs with established policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components, and completes design activities to ensure consistency with the LEC. 
• Manage the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across systems within the program.
• Proactively engage business partners and other stakeholders to inform them of proposed changes to business systems architecture and business process.

Experience:

• Corporate infrastructure migration to AWS and datacentre decommissioning.
• Experienced in stakeholder management and developing deep relationships
• Obtaining  aligned agreement from a range of stakeholders

Knowledge:

• Relevant AWS certification.
• Minimum 10 years experience in infrastructure architecture
• Bachelors qualification across business administration, computer science, finance, or management information systems.
• Certification in architecture, infrastructure frameworks or similar discipline.

Skills:

• Extensive corporate infrastructure & Wintel architecture and design 
• Enterprise infrastructure and solution design in AWS.
• Detailed design for systems in AWS.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and complexity.
