We are currently looking for a SAP BW Functional Consu;tamt for an initial 3 month contract with a large government department based in Brisbane CBD. The role will entail full production support of system integrity, defect rectification and minor enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and mentor SAP BW support staff in designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and managing application BW authorisation to cost effectively meet business requirements in the delivery of SAP application solutions to Agencies
• Analyse and solve complex SAP application BW problems to provide innovative solutions in the delivery of SAP application BW solutions and support to Agencies.
• Complete system design, specification, development, unit testing and maintenance and associated documentation of the BW solutions, in strict compliance with QSS BW, development and other applicable standards.
• Contribute to project work and strategic or improvement analysis and advice to management on BW and associated issues and initiatives including risk and issue identification and management.
• Undertake quality assurance processes to ensure integrity and compliance status of the system.
• Assist with investigations into issues relating to SAP system BW.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of client business requirements, legislative requirements and current trends and product developments within the IT industry and provide advice.
• Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to develop

Requirements: 

• Extensive knowledge of SAP ERP solutions, particularly in the areas of Business Warehouse (BW- FICO and/or HR), and HR ABAP is highly desirable. Minimum three years' extensive experience in designing, configuring and supporting SAP BW solutions. High level knowledge of the integration aspect of SAP modules, including ability to develop high quality system specifications, configuration documentation and testing scenario.
• Extensive client service skills including written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to provide advice, consult and negotiate with stakeholders on complex and strategic issues, including coaching and mentoring of other business analysts.
• Demonstrate experience in developing, implementing and maintaining SAP application BW authorisation and user access management solutions.
• Experience in SAP BW 3.5, 7.5 and Design  Studio is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate analytical, conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills with a strong focus on meeting outcomes and delivering a quality client service.
• Demonstrate ability to apply specialist technical knowledge and provide advice on BW applications in responding to maintenance and support requests according to agreed procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to operate as an effective team member who strives to build and sustain positive and effective relationships with team members, other teams and stakeholders through the implementation of team goals, strategies and work plans.
• Demonstrate ability to act professionally at all times and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement BW solutions whilst complying with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Prove effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships by negotiating client needs and ensuring proposed solutions are properly understood and resolved.
