The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance (QA) framework and standards as well as providing QA and testing services to projects and programs, monitoring compliance with the prescribed standards and processes. It implements quality and testing standards, methodologies and prepares testing strategies.

The role also has the accountability for test strategy, the overall planning and management of testing efforts and testing process for ERP implementation program across multiple projects.

As a leadership role, its additional responsibilities include coaching and mentoring QA team, development and adherence to QA processes and procedures, resource allocation, testing effort and duration estimates for project planning and schedule.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and evolve QA processes, methodology and testing standards across programs and multiple projects.
  • Standardise testing processes and tools across multiple projects and develop strategies to achieve the highest level of quality outcomes.
  • Plan, deploy and project manage the testing effort for any given project.
  • Evaluate resources and budget to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
  • Provide QA reviews of documentation, models, designs, and executable delivered by internal and outsourced software development activities covering business process definition, requirements, solution design, testing and deployment.
  • Develop and implement approach to address quality gaps and deficiencies.
  • Identify and report on quality related risks.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and manage overall QA and testing process, test types, test phases and ensure entry and exit criteria are met for each test phase.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to deliver testing activities for ERP implementation program across multiple projects.
  • Facilitate resolution of any business issues that have been escalated beyond standard testing practices.
  • Cooperate with stakeholders and team members to meet strict delivery deadlines.
  • Proactively take ownership and management of issues and participate in problem solving activities.
  • Report on activities, communications, performance monitoring and overall business satisfaction status to leadership team.

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or related IT discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a software delivery environment, with at least 3 years experience in leadership and management of QA/testing team.
  • Proven experience in QA and testing of a wide range of implementations such as ERP, CRM, integrations and data warehouse projects.
  • Proven experience in all phases of software development life cycle with good understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Excellent understanding of testing methods, standards, and common software failures/faults.
  • Results driven approach and history of delivering quality outcomes to set deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across all management and organisational levels.
  • Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, customers, implementation partners and vendors in written and verbal forms.
  • Has strong negotiation, influencing, facilitation and presentation skills..
  • Able to create and implement advanced QA and testing plans and processes.
  • Sets and communicates quality standards.
  • Is perceived by customers as partner for solving business problems.
  • Proactively monitors customer's expectations.
