An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Access Technology Trainer to join our team in Geelong or Ballarat. 

Responsibilities 

As an Access Technology Trainer at Vision Australia you will: 

  • Plan, develop, and deliver Access Technology training to clients either individually or in small groups, in various environments including workplaces, homes and Vision Australia centres.
  • Deliver training in various modes including face to face, over the phone, via video conference or other remote technologies;
  • Conduct Access Technology training needs assessments in order to make appropriate training recommendations and design individualised training programs.
  • Act as a primary service provider (PSP) for clients who’s predominant service need is around Access Technology.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment together with extensive experience in the provision of technology training, preferably for people that are blind or have low vision;
  • A working knowledge of a range of access technologies including screen access technology, print access technology including magnification equipment and Braille equipment;
  • A working knowledge of a range of computer applications and platforms including Windows, Mac, IOS, Android, web browsers, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to plan and deliver person centred training programs for individuals and small groups in a variety of settings including classrooms, workplaces, and in the home;
