We are Australia’s leading and growing event solutions company and we are on the lookout for an IT Helpdesk Administrator to join our close knit IT team in the Rydalmere Office in Sydney.

 

To be successful in this role you will need to be a team player, show initiative, be a creative thinker and be both English and Mandarin speaking.

 

What your new role will involve

  • Providing first point of contact for all new and existing support issues
  • Communicating in both English & Mandarin to staff across the business
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues over the phone and in person
  • Accurate problem resolution with thorough and clear documentation
  • Maintaining all case/issue history within our helpdesk ticketing system (Sysaid)
  • Resolving hardware issues with desktops, printers, tablets, etc.
  • Some after hours work may be required; After hours support on a roster
  • Installation and configuration of PC's and other IT equipment
  • Providing friendly advice and solutions to all users onsite
  • Provide connectivity support for BYOD Devices

     

Key criteria About you

  • Must be fluent in both English & Mandarin
  • Certificate III in IT is required and strong interest in IT area
  • Previous experience working on a helpdesk
  • A sound understanding of support methods for the noted technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure & deal with multiple tasks
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal and possess great phone manner
  • Excellent presentation and customer service skills
  • Strong problem solving and time management skill
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 7 & 10, Microsoft Office 365
  • Demonstrated understanding of LAN and WAN infrastructures is bonus
  • Reliable, honest and sense of urgency
  • Attention to details
  • Flexibility to work after hours when required (On Call)
  • Must have full rights to work in Australia
