Senior Support Engineer with a passion for coding

Melbourne CBD

80-110k + super

Senior Support Engineer required to join a well organised and global software house in Melbourne CBD.

You:

• This position is suited for a software developer or Senior Support Engineer who has a passion for coding, debugging and fixing complex problems.
• You will work in one of the nicest offices in Melbourne CBD, working in a team of fellow seniors, where no 2 days are the same.
• Enjoy all aspects of technology, Scripting, Coding, Programming, Level 3 support queries happy to get your hands dirty across all technology

Day to Day duties:

• Responsible for identifying and delivering improvements to knowledge base, support processes & tools
• Leading conference calls with Customers and performing major incident analysis
• Provide and Support to junior members of staff
• Deployment of fixes to both test & live environments
• Able to communicate effectively, investigation status to customers
• Owning and investigating a wide variety of issues at both an application and database level

Technical Experience:

• Strong fundamental programming skills (data structures, algorithms) in JAVA, Python, C++, PHP
• Extensive experience in an application support/development role and be able to provide examples of times when you've had to investigate and create solutions to problems
• Ability to work on SQL and relational database
