About the role
This role will see you working in a large agile team of Engineers, Product and QA, the systems are primarily using Microsoft Technologies, AngularJS as the primary JavaScript framework with Angular in some areas. They have a mixed environment, mostly with AWS, however, moving towards Azure with each new product and release.
The role will see you extending and maintaining the core software system, adding features, supporting the existing product and being part of the team to take the product to its next technical evolution, moving the legacy environment to a scalable micro-service environment.
In this role, you will;
- Design and Develop high-quality code
- Keep up with the latest technologies, be involved in RnD to see where value could be obtained
- Participate in Team Learning - brown bag sessions/lunch and learn
- Deliver effective communication, work with a team to solve complex problems
- Take a continuous improvement view on the product, always look for improvement and enhancements
- Collaborate with stakeholders and help refine requirements
- Understand and contribute to long-term vision for modernisation of legacy systems
- Automate where possible
About you
Our client is an early adopter of technology, not afraid to experiment and lead the way bringing in technology to their environment. The environment is a mix of legacy and new technologies, new products will always be built using the latest technologies and where possible legacy will be transitioned to more modern environments and frameworks.
As a result, the Senior Developers will need to be comfortable navigating complex environments and have a commercial view when building products. Looking for RoI and use innovative solutions that remain secure and scalable.
Ideally, you will;
- Strong background in Developing products using Microsoft Technologies, a mix of new & legacy (C#, .Net, .Net Core, ASP.Net Web API, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC)
- Experience with Cloud environments - Azure/AWS
- Experience using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, AngularJS 2+, VUE
- Entity Framework or NHibernate
- Experience with NServiceBus (or similar)
- Experience with development principals and standards such as SOLID Principals & TDD/DDD
- Understanding of SOA/Micro-services
