Based in Kurnell, an exciting opportunity exists for a sophisticated and intuitive Business Development Manager to join the innovative Cisco Team, reporting to the Business Manager – Cisco Volume. What you will need to succeed in this role:

  • High level interpersonal skills
  • Good ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work, to meet with company and customer expectations
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts
  • Intermediate MS Office literacy and ERP applications
  • Good understanding of administration procedures (e.g. ordering, receipting, invoicing, returns and payments)
  • Detailed knowledge of the relevant market
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • High level product knowledge
  • Previous selling experience essential
  • Professional, helpful and efficient manner
  • Good ability to recognise potential in customers
  • Good ability to forecast numbers against budget on a monthly / quarterly basis

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Work with BDMs on targeted partners to determine their client business requirements and what Cisco Refresh products should be positioned and are suitable
  • Be able to confidently deliver & present the Cisco Products and Tools to the sales teams and resellers
  • Assist Account Managers in being familiar with the Cisco’s Refresh Products and partner benefits.
  • Engage with Cisco peers with the aim of increasing knowledge of any opportunities and work collaboratively and pro-actively in tailoring an associated partner enablement plan
  • Work with account managers to identify resellers requiring education as well as those with potential for development and further new business sales engagement for Cisco Refresh business
  • Identify resellers with the significant potential to contribute to the growth of the Cisco Refresh business
  • Work with the BDM & sales teams to create and maintain opportunity pipeline
  • Follow-up all relevant quotations, offers & promotions and recommend solutions as required
  • Provide internal reporting as required
  • Maintain and continually update knowledge of technology, products, best practices, trends for Cisco Refresh Products.
  • Be able to travel locally, interstate and internationally as required
