Your role
As part of Saab’s Security & Risk group, the Security Operations Manager will provide daily management and operational oversight of Saab Security operations team focusing on protecting Saab from Cyber Threats and ensure general routine activities are undertaken.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Assisting in the establishment strategic planning, policy, goals and objectives for the implementation of security management systems within Saab.
• Ensuring the overall security of Saab Australian facilities.
• Coordinating security incident management programs to ensure timely identification, investigation, remediation and reporting of security breaches and potential risks;
• Ensuring appropriate implementation of security practices and methods within Saab;
• Developing and maintaining a security risks management program, including the implementation of risk mitigation effort to reduce Saab’s exposure to security risk
• Facilitating security/risk training and awareness programs, within Saab;
• Serving as project manager/lead within ICT security projects;
• Providing Information security risk advice, including risk remediation plans;
• Assisting with IT audits, Risk assessments and regulatory compliance; and
• Providing periodic reporting on Saab’s current threat landscape;
• Advising on ICT security situations that are of a critical nature and that impact Saab’s business;
• Participating in security management Steering Committee (SMSC) meetings with senior management.
• Reporting on security breaches, the extent of any damage caused and proposing remedial/mitigating actions;

Your skills and experience

• Extensive experience within a security management role
• Experience performing ICT security risk assessment of ICT service offerings;
• Demonstrated ability to apply security frameworks, policies and standards into operational context and provide practical advice based on them;
• A working knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ISO/IEC 27001/27002 and 31000 standards;
• Experience in the collection, presentation and analysis of information; and
• Experience in establishing service or security management systems and continuous improvement programs
• Project management experience is desirable
