About the role

  • As a seasoned sales technology professional with field experience, provides pre-sales technical support of the sales process across Citrix Products and Solutions.
  • Provides a role within the sales teams in assessing potential application of Citrix products to meet customer's business needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer/partner locations/Citrix facilities on Citrix products value proposition
  • Has ability to build complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.
  • Leverages product knowledge to provide technical Citrix Expertise to internal sales teams, Citrix partners and end users
  • Develops customer/partner requirements that map to Citrix solutions, assists with overcoming technical and competitive objections, and accelerates technical evaluation component of sales cycle to close deals.
  • Leverages the consultative sales process to prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
  • Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies.
  • Creates formal networks with key decision makers in assigned accounts and partners.
  • Serves as an external spokesperson and evangelist for Citrix's vision and associated technologies.
  • Ability to leverage and maximize CSA/CSBA/SI/ISV partners as the fulfilment channel while working with Citrix end user accounts on IT initiatives.
  • Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts.partners to sales engineering management.
  • Consistently provides contribution to the broader team's technical mindshare
  • Seen as a sales professional that can function as a sales representative as needed.
  • Ability to present/communicate at an executive level to multiple customers, prospects and partners
  • Owns initiatives impacting their immediate sales area
  • Positively influences sales opportunities beyond their own assigned account.partner set.
  • Solid understanding of Citrix domain, competitive technologies (VMware, MobileIron, Good, F5) and how to position to "win"
  • Work with Citrix Education and Readiness teams to help the partner reach a higher technical sales and service capability
  • Helps partner technical sales teams design innovative architectural solutions that drive strategic objectives and help differentiate partner offerings. ( Ecosystem solutions – Azure, etc.)
  • Support Partner activities that drive sales and adoption including briefings, workshops, Proof of Concepts and tender responses
  • Educate partners and promote use of Citrix Support and effective use of Knowledge Base, Product deployment guides and local technical resources

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 - 8 years plus  years  prior sales eningeering experience in a high tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
  • Citrix Certified Professional or Citrix Certified Expert certification
  • Pre-sales consulting experience is required in any of these technology areas:
    • Windows application/desktop management
    • Application/desktop virtualization
    • Mobile device/application management
    • Web/SaaS Applications
    • Routers and Switches/ Core Networking
    • SD-WAN
    • Security (Web, Identity, Firewalls)
    • Data Center (Storage Virtualization, Virtual Switching)
