Client Details
Our client is a leading global broadcast and telecommunications company. They have a large infrastructure footprint with their national broadband contract and has established a business unit dedicated to telecommunications, equipment and services.
Description
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare month-end and annual adjusting and closing entries to accounts
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual accounts as well as overseeing month end journals
- Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Responsible for accounting aspects related to inventory, including inventory processing
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Assist with payroll accounting on a fortnightly and monthly basis
- Manage day to day cash flow requirements
- Facilitate and support process improvement within all financial accounting control and procedures
- Maintain business partnerships with operational teams to aid process improvement
- Budget management and cash flow forecasting and management
- Preparation of external monthly reporting
- Complete tax related responsibilities
- Liaise with managerial staff and other relevant parties
- Provide cost control and financial performance reporting to senior management and directors
- Responsible to provide a wide range of accounting functions including from revenue forecasting, monitoring of work-in-progress accounts of the NSW operation, debtors collection, creditors processing, payroll, bank reconciliation and throughout the day to day general accounting duties.
- Successfully in the completion and installation of a computerized payroll system and the direct credit of wages & salaries to all employee’ bank accounts via the National Australia Bank’s "On-Line" facility. This has eliminated cash payroll transactions and writing cheques for suppliers who accept direct transfer of funds.
- Assisting external Accountant (Tax Agent) in the preparation of individuals and companies’ annual tax return to ATO.
Profile
The successful candidate will have several years experience, a strong skill set and proven track record.
CPA or Chartered qualified
Strong SAP skills (not a deal breaker for an outstanding candidate)
Advanced Excel abilities
Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
Well developed time management skills
Strong systems awareness and an interest in improving systems
