One of Australia and New Zealand’s leading vehicle leasing and fleet management companies, managing in excess of 50,000 vehicles. Market leading client, with offices in Sydney and NZ. Currently looking for an outstanding Database Engineer/Developer. 

Job Description

• Design data table structures, forms, reports, and queries. Develop and maintain database stored procedures, views and functions. Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
• Investigate and rectify inefficiencies in current databases; ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements.
• Research and recommend database products, services, protocols, and standards in new development.
• Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
• Diagnose and resolve database performance issues.
• Exposure to Data Warehouse administration and have an understanding of ETL best practices and methodology.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for databases. Create and maintain technical documentation related to the project.
• Have experience applying DBMS best practices and support DBA in tasks ranging over backup, maintenance, upgrades and query tuning. Have the experience to configure DBMS monitoring utilities to set up alerts and address outages or issues (including after-hours and over weekends).
• Proficient with Windows and Unix/Linux.
• Proficient with T-SQL and Oracle SQL and PL-SQL.
• Able to work with Microsoft SSMS & SSIS tools. 

You Will have:

• At least 7 years of experience as a Database Engineer, Data Engineer, SQL Developer, or similar position.
• Work well independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Have experience in working on MSSQL server (2012 to 2016) and Oracle (10g to 12c)
• Interest and ability to investigate and learn new data technologies, such as Hadoop, Apache Spark.
• Experience working with NoSQL Databases.
