The Opportunity
DWS is working with the Australian Government to build a number of major Big Data platforms, utilising leading-edge data warehousing and analytics capabilities.
  
We are looking for skills across the Big Data spectrum, with long-term opportunities in a range of technology types to deliver Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Machine-Learning and Advanced Analytics projects.
  
We have exciting opportunities available in both Melbourne and Canberra, with access to the latest Big Data technologies and expertise.
  
Our technology stack includes Hadoop, Teradata, TIBCO, Kafka, MarkLogic, PowerBI, Tableau and more.

The suitable Candidate will have:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
• Significant experience in development of Integration processes using technologies such as: IBM Integration Bus, SAP Process Orchestration or SAP Event Stream Processor
• Significant level of technical knowledge in the development of ETL processes
• Experience in development of Database artefacts, using database platforms such as Teradata, MarkLogic, SAP HANA or Hadoop
• Experience in platforms such as Kafka and TIBCO
• Significant experience in development of automation of diagnostics and deployment of complex integrated systems using the above technologies
• Experience in developing Operational & Management Information reporting solutions using data visualisation tools
• Ability to quickly learn, understand & work effectively within a complex technical landscape
• A demonstrated awareness of industry best practice and trends as well as experience in having implemented these to achieve business outcomes
