Role

As the Managed Services Systems Engineer, you will provide technical support, expertise and customer service to our external customers within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and targets. You will also develop proposals, business cases and other supporting documentation within the area of Managed Computing, including on-premise and cloud-based solutions, in accordance with the ITIL framework, vendor best practices, and internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistently high level of service to customers, answering and addressing incoming calls and emails within agreed Service Level Targets (SLTs)
  • Provide accurate technical advice to Vita Group customers regarding potential purchase decisions
  • Configure, proactively manage, and maintain Windows Server, Office 365 and Exchange environments
  • Implement changes to customer infrastructure
  • Provision Windows and MacOS desktop environments
  • Configure and maintain Terminal Server environments (Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix)
  • Monitor and respond to critical customer outages within SLAs
  • Deliver compliance-based services within SLAs (Windows Patching, System Backups, Anti-Virus protection)
  • Complete daily maintenance checks of automated client systems
  • Monitor, track, and prioritise incidents in an internal ticketing system
  • Update all assigned tickets following ITIL principles
  • After-hours on-call duties on a rotational basis to provide 24x7 support for Manage Services customers 

About you                 

  • Significant ICT experience in a Managed Services or Professional Services environment
  • Knowledge of Mobility, Fixed and Collaboration solutions
  • Bachelor of IT or similar
  • Outstanding customer service skills to accompany your vast range of IT related knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation operating systems, MS Exchange Server, MS Active Directory and Group Policy, Office 365, SQL, SharePoint, backup solutions (Veeam & Shadow Protect), TIPT phone systems and MDM Solutions (AirWatch, MobileIron)
