Sundata is currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Brisbane. This role is a contract opportunity with a scope for potential permanent conversion.

This Systems support Engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business primarily working on the service desk. This role will be the first point of contact for clients to receive and log support requests; focusing on identifying the issue as quickly and effectively as possible, trouble shooting and resolving L1/L2 support cases whilst escalating more complex support cases to the Services Delivery Manager.

The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT related projects and activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the IT Service Desk and clients support issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure SLAs and customer service standards are met
  • Provide support to our experienced IT Services team
  • Exceptional customer service/interaction with clients ensuring they are updated with progress of their IT issues
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Provide L2 support for device, user interfaces and IT issues across multiple locations
  • Responsible for creation and maintaining of all relevant documentation

Skills and Experience:

  • Structured and organised in their approach to providing support ensuring SLAs are met and has a strong attention to detail
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience supporting clients in an IT/ or Computer Support role.
  • Service desk experience supporting multiple clients
  • Tertiary qualifications and Industry certification
  • A current valid driver’s license is required
  • Calm and professional approach with clients and staff
  • Excellent written and verbal English
