 "Spotify Style" structure within the engineering team means applications are open to a range of engineering levels of experience (mid-senior). 
 
Collaboration with top shelf Data Engineering/Data Scientists/Actuaries across the business will be frequent, so an appetite to be challenged and learn is crucial. They do things a little differently around here...  
  
Your foundation in functional programming (Java is good) and data structures is key to being able to grasp the Big Data platform conceptually its intricacies. 

Having worked in a mix of environments such as start-ups, consultancies or innovation teams within enterprises, you're an Engineer well versed in Scala (2 + years minimum) looking to specialise and work with some serious scale. 


The weaponry used includes but is not limited to:

• Scala
• Spark
• Hadoop
• AWS
• Kafka, Flink and Spark Streaming
