This role for a level 2 technical specialist providing audio visual (AV/VC) support within a Victorian State Government Organisation based in the CBD. This organisation plays an important role within the community and is for a 6 month contract
Your new role
An excellent opportunity has become available for a skilled level 2 Technical Specialist to support Department staff with the setup, use and troubleshooting of the video conferencing (VC) equipment located throughout the CBD.
- Provide Audio-Visual (AV) support to staff as needed.
- Resolve or escalate support calls using IT Service Management principles and logging systems.
- Provide support for the operation and maintenance of equipment on site within central offices.
- Provide support for events including setting up and operating AV and Videoconferencing (VC) equipment.
- Install or remove hardware and/or software and conduct tests, correcting malfunctions, and documenting results
- Provide assistance to users for further help or escalation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in large-scale IT operations.
- Effective management of technology and people, with the ability to balance work objectives.
- Strong customer focus, coupled with a strong task focus.
- The ability to readily relate to and effectively engage with a diverse customer management stakeholder group.
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities in a busy work environment displaying flexibility in reacting to changing task allocations.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills.
- Demonstrated experience in working in enterprise IT environment, including working in ITIL environments.
