One of our clients is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to complete power applications and electrical designs (single line drawings for AC & DC systems) for telco greenfield, brownfield and colocation sites within the Melbourne region.
The Role:
One of our clients is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to complete power applications and electrical designs (single line drawings for AC & DC systems) for telco greenfield, brownfield and colocation sites within the Melbourne region.
The Role:
- Heat load calculations
- Battery dimensioning
- Earthing system designs and produce drawings
- Maintenance of work management systems
- Updating project specific databases
- Meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Keeping the wider team informed on all issues and forecasts
Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Australian working experience – at least 1 year and greater
- Telco field priority (or building services)
- Electrical design experience in telecommunication sites, shelters and exchanges
- Understanding of the electrical authority power applications and approvals process, PVA reports, Level 3/1 design and NSW Service Installations Rules
Skills:
- Good understanding of the equipment used in Telco shelters and rack layouts
- Experience in DC power systems design 48V, 24V, PLC and Alarm wiring/interfacing for the shelters
- Good knowledge of AC power distribution, direct metering, CT metering and Group metering
- Experience with solar and hybrid – generator sites (desirable)
- Experience within a high volume, fast paced environment
- Proven analytical and problem solving skillsEE
