The Systems Engineer will lead complex activities and tasks relating to requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification and validation. This person will plan, organise, integrate and deliver complex systems engineering services and products, whilst working cohesively and flexibly with the broader project team, key business partners and stakeholder groups.
- Must hold an active or inactive TSPV clearance (Any Agency)
- 12 or 24 month Contract on offer

Skills and Knowledge
- Proven experience of ICT systems infrastructure covering a range of physical and virtual environments.
- Good knowledge and experience of current developments and trends in IT systems.
- Knowledge of information systems security principles, practices and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills in interacting with customers, colleagues and other technical staff.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management, Project Management and IT security.
- An understanding of the Information Security Manual.
- A proven ability to document technical processes.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Major Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply technical and professional knowledge and experience to systems engineering processes across the system engineering lifecycle for systems delivery.
- Ensure all work completed meets quality standards and quality control measures.
- Ensures appropriate engagement with technical and project staff to produce quality outputs.
- Analyse complex systems engineering issues, apply expertise to identify and recommend courses of action.
- Ensure successful external contract development including identification of approval and verification gates.
- Ensure reviews of externally developed designs, plans and other artefacts are conducted and ensure integration with requirements and verification processes.
- Work with specialists to develop acquisition strategies for future work.
- Work with key business partners to understand their needs.
- Resolve issues and or problems that arise within the constraints of the project.
- Enable the system to transition to Operations
- Ensure the system software and hardware design is fit for purpose.
- Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
