Junior Developer role focused primarily on UI development for applications which comprise the RevealTM software suite. This innovative software supports the Reveal Group consulting methodology to embed operational excellence best practices and identify business improvement opportunities across a variety of industries. The global client base has users across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The software is currently localised to support seven languages and support is rostered on a 24/7 basis between team members located across Australia and internationally.

Reveal Group is also Gold global partner for Blue Prism and a leading provider of professional, technical and training services related to Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role will involve working in our software development, support and product management team under the guidance of a Development Lead - to determine requirements, develop and test new functionality, investigate and fix support issues. Our software is deployed using a Software as a Service model, hosted on Cloud infrastructure and delivered to end users via a web browser on a desktop or mobile device.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

As a Junior Developer, your primary focus will be on UI development to

• develop responsive, user interfaces using single-page application frameworks
• create reusable objects and libraries to reduce time to deliver MVP’s
• triage incoming support tickets escalated to the development team
• test, troubleshoot and remediate technical support issues raised by clients and the Reveal Group team
• track progress of development work performed in Jira
• assist with the design, implementation and operation of Reveal’s software services, including Reveal™ and other technologies related to Reveal Group RPA training and managed services

If you are a candidate possessing the relevant additional skills, opportunities may also arise to become involved in backend development to

• develop API services for consumption by user interfaces
• maintain code for our legacy applications
• create and test database reporting views
• assist with the deployment of software releases
• gain exposure to infrastructure deployment and configuration management

YOUR EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Must have an undergraduate degree in computing, software engineering, IT, maths or another relevant discipline
• Must have experience working as a software developer in an agile environment (we use Jira Kanban)
