Kordia is one of Australia's largest Telecommunications Systems Integration service delivery organisations.  We specialise in designing, building and operating challenging and critical telecommunications systems throughout Australia.

With a committed ongoing increase in volumes, we are looking to invite a Site Design Engineer to join our team of SAED experts. 
The role will see you provide site designs and construction concepts on Civil Telecommunications projects.   

This will see you:

• Review and develop preliminary and detailed civil designs for sites Conduct site design visits 
• Review detailed designs and direct Drafters and Structural Engineers for amendments
• Provide cost effective design advice that translates to efficient construction
• Act as the state based channel for all SAED pre-construction technical, project and quality issues where related to design and construction concepts
• Work using all the clients databases and web based systems as required
• Ensure that all SAED Project / Contract milestones are delivered on time, within budget (where this is defined and under your control) and to the customers’ requirements
• Assist Perform site construction pack handover including planning/construction planning interface prior to site mobilisation
• Prepare variation quotes for provision to client based on revised design briefs and construction drawings
• Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
• Liaise with the Operation Team and construction contractor for field level changes and identify potential impacts that may affect SAED design and certification requirements, e.g., scope, client and construction compliance, costs, etc.
• Prepare forecast BOMs and construction estimations for site construction activities to assist client decisions on costs
• Provide support and advice to the Operation Team regarding logistics on 
• Coordination of site access including permits, keys, access cards, equipment and plant required for site design visits and inspections (cherry pickers, cranes, etc.)
• Coordinate site safety reviews and assist with Quality Audits
• Ensure all contracted SAED design revenues are maximised including monitoring clients requests and changes to identifying opportunities to charge the customer for valid SAED variation work activities

This role will suit someone with 

• Extensive experience in site design and construction practices of mobile telecommunication site
• Previous experience as a SAED Design Engineer in the construction of telecommunications infrastructure
• Experience in field logistics and estimation experience
• Preferred qualifications in Trade or Associate Diploma in Engineering or Project Management desirable
