About the opportunity 

An opportunity exists for the position of Organisational Change Manager to join the Information and Communications Technology team, to design and deliver Change Management solutions as an integral part of project delivery for the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: identifying the appropriate change management approach within the project and business context; leading and managing the change management stream including the design, development and implementation of change management deliverables including communications; managing stakeholder expectations; working with the Project Manager and Project Owner to engage stakeholders and ensure business readiness; and, working collaboratively with other stream leads to identify, understand and facilitate transition activities relevant to the scope and scale of business impacts resulting from the changes being introduced.

  • Think broadly about change impacts to business within the context of the project/s.
  • Identify barriers to the business initiative and develop change strategies, plans, communications and schedules to effectively overcome these barriers.
  • Ensure sustainable change occurs by understanding the requirements of the business and ensuring key areas are operationally ready.
  • Operational accountability for developing and managing the consistent delivery of the Change Management Plan on time, within budget and to appropriate quality standard.
  • Develop comprehensive ways of leading the change management effort through all stages of the project lifecycle, with particular reference to identifying, investigating and resolving relevant project risks.
  • Develop and deploy solutions that are aligned with the PMO Project framework.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and other key leads and seek inputs and feedback on the effectiveness of the Change Management Plan.
  • Establish and maintain an effective partnership approach with customers, departments, vendors, delivery partners and other stakeholders. The approach should emphasise key values including clarifying mutual expectations, developing trust and openness, feedback, continuous improvement, and building capability on how we deliver benefits.
  • extensive experience in change management within a project environment
 

The Successful candidate will possess:

  • extensive experience in change management within a project environment
  • Exposure to working in large, complex environments
  • Experience in interacting with senior management
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • A Prosci certification with ADKAR experience is highly desirable
