The Junior CIO plays a crucial role on the ongoing management of our managed services plan customers. Our managed services plans include business consultation, proactive maintenance, and unlimited IT support. As an Junior CIO, you will interface directly with our customers and our support team. You are in a position to make a positive impact on the strategic decision-making and productivity of our customers. Responsibilities & Duties within your role

• Design of the overall architecture of the web application and scripting languages.
• Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application.
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implementation of security and data protection.
• Translation of UI wireframes to visual elements.
• Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
• Testing sites and applications in browsers and environments.
• Testing new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the task.
• Running performance benchmarking tests.
• Building and maintaining databases.
• Fixing bugs in existing programs and projects.
• Gathering discovery data for project requirements from managers, users and clients.
• Ensuring project controls and reporting responsibilities are put in place.
• Database administration and management of hosting environment.
• Assist in development of database reports associated with the ERP system.
• Assist staff in the training and ongoing use of the new ERP System.
• Development and enhancement of the Bitu-mill website.
• Assist with developing and managing the Bitu-mill Social Media platforms.
• Manage, assist and liase with external IT consultants regard all IT requirements – upgrades to network, trouble shooting, cyber security, connectivity.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements of Candidates

• Bachelor’s degree in Information System, Business or other related major or equivalent experience
• Ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in IT services (implementation, project management, and/or support)
• Strong understanding of business operations & computer technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
