At Lux Everyday we're building our technology stack for the future. Building on platform that powers our successful brands (Scoopon, Cudo, Deals, TreatMe, The Gourmet & Spreets) we are in the exciting phase of our engineering where the work is greenfield. 

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Node.js/ React Developer to help grow existing team as we engineer some of our successful brands. You'll be working in a small cross functional team with a focus on strong engineering. You will be reporting into the Head of Engineering and we provide a great career path for you if you are seeking further management development.

You will be a developer who does not simply push through cards, but questions whether we are building the right product, or whether we can find a simpler solution by redefining the problem.

Our cross-functional team include Product, Designers and Engineers focused on delivering solutions and solving problems rather than simply completing tasks and building features.

Our team shares expansive in-depth experience from the worlds of Javscript, Ruby, PHP, Python, Java, Lua, and experts in Agile, Architecture, CSS, DevOps and RDMS. There will always be someone to challenge you. 

As an engineer, you'll be given significant ownership and autonomy - from designing the services and components you own to choosing hosting and infrastructure service

Relevant skills: 

• Solid understanding of Javascript, or a solid understanding of a similar language and programming principles 
• Solid experience with Node.js and/or React JS 
• Experience with SQL - we use PostgreSQL 
• An understanding of the trade-offs of micro-services vs monoliths 
• RESTful API design fundamentals 
• A creative and analytical mind, an interest in problem-solving 
• Understanding and experience with CI/CD and running software in the cloud 
• A healthy distrust of your own ability to write solid code without tests
