The Client

The Client I am representing is a leading US HQ's Marketing Tech vendor who are opening an office in Sydney very shortly.

They're looking to bring on 2 recent university graduates to work as Sales Development Representatives who they will then promote into AE roles when the time is right.

The Role

  • Be the first point of contact for potential clients, responding to all enquiries.
  • Prospecting into targeted markets, coordinating with marketing in a lead generation effort, and qualifying prospective customers for field sales via inbound and outbound calls
  • Generate new business leads via phone, conferences and trade show events
  • Cross-sell and up-sell where an opportunity presents itself
  • Working in a fastpaced environment, this role will require tenacity and drive, using your natural competitive streak to succeed.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role is a recent university graduate who has an inclination to move into tech sales. Candidates will need to be naturally competitive, have a strong desire to win as well as a strong work eithic. Below is a list of ideal experience;

  • Experience in a lead generation role or customer service role - if you have worked in a call centre previously, this role is great for you!
  • Great relationship building skills or very customer service oriented
  • Well- developed communication, persuasiveness, influencing and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Resilient, tenacious and persistent
  • Self- motivated and performance driven
  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • Have a strong interest in technology or marketing, specifically software.
