About the Role
An exciting opportunity to manage multiple cloud-based data centres and service providers, co-ordinate with the business around the automation and design of new solutions and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the business.
Reporting to the CTO, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and security of their data centres and internal network, and will be actively engaged in the ongoing operations.
Your primary duties in this role will include:
- Designing, extending, upgrading and maintaining multiple Data Centre environments for SaaS Solutions in AWS.
- Managing, maintaining and optimising SaaS infrastructure costs.
- Manage and communicate planned outages to the customer base.
- Planning and co-ordination of technical consultation, project and ad-hoc work with key stakeholders within the business.
- Planning and co-ordination of technical consultation with customers.
You will also be involved heavily with the internal development teams, working out best engagements with clients and assisting with delivery.
About You
Ideally you will have broad experience across Infrastructure & Sys/Dev Ops, including;
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Self-motivated and can work well independently.
- Proven track record in project management
- Articulate, with excellent communication skills.
- Windows Server 20012 and later - installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Solid experience with AWS
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and procedures
- Windows FSMO roles (AD, DNS, etc)
- SQL server 2008R2 and later - installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- IIS 7.5 and later - installing and standing up Web Sites
- SMTP/ SFTP Server - installing, configuring
- Internet Domain Name System - general understanding of DNS management.
- Understanding TCP/IP networks
- Solid understanding of enterprise network security and best practices.
- Powershell scripting
- Agile project management practices
- IIS Clustering would be advantageous
- Splunk experience would be advantageous
